Lesbian BBQ

Join us for the fourth edition of the Lesbian BBQ, organized by the Quebec Lesbian Network as part of the Montreal Pride Festival! This year, we are thrilled to welcome Helem to further enrich this celebration. We will also offer you the chance to participate in a creative activity—come and discover it with us!

The event will take place in a festive atmosphere at the Esplanade Tranquille on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM. The day will be followed by FeminiX, an electrifying show that gives the stage entirely to the lesbo-queer community.

As part of the Montreal Pride Festival, the Quebec Lesbian Network invites you to the third edition of the Lesbian BBQ! Following the success of previous years, the Lesbian BBQ returns this year with a larger edition aimed at breaking the isolation of LBQ+ women and individuals in an informal way, while strengthening our bonds and sense of belonging!

This inclusive event will take place at the Espace Loto-Québec at the Olympic Park Esplanade to accommodate even more people! The event will be accompanied by the music of DJs and artists from FeminiX, an electrifying show that gives the stage entirely to women from diverse backgrounds, alongside KING POUR UN SOIR, a series of workshops on the art of drag king performance.

This year, as part of Montreal Pride, the Quebec Lesbian Network is bringing back the hugely successful event from 2021: the Lesbian BBQ, the only community event of its kind specifically for people from our lesbo-queer communities.

In 2021, the Lesbian BBQ gathered nearly 300 participants who came together to celebrate. Just like last year, this edition of the Lesbian BBQ is a gathering designed to help lesbo-queer individuals step out of their homes while enjoying a pleasant and safe moment of socialization. All of this will happen in a relaxed, festive atmosphere, perfect for coming together.

For the 2021 Montreal Pride Festival, the Quebec Lesbian Network is preparing a Lesbian BBQ! Grilled treats and appetizers in the sun, bringing together lesbian-queer folks! The event aims to be inclusive and safe, a laid-back and festive moment to reconnect with each other. Just because we need it!

Additionally, to introduce you to the organizations working for you, we have invited the Centre de Solidarité Lesbienne, Lesbo-sons, and the Lesbian Archives of Quebec to join us in celebration! This 4-to-8 event is a unique opportunity to reconnect, meet new people, and celebrate Pride!
