JVL 2022

Lesbian Visibility Day 2022

After two online editions due to the health measures imposed by the pandemic, the Quebec Lesbian Network (QLN) presents the 40th Lesbian Visibility Day (JVL) in person on March 23rd! More than ever, it is essential to give visibility to LGBTQ+ women and to offer them diversified activities to break isolation, celebrate their diversity and reclaim public spaces!

On Saturday, April 23 marks the 40th anniversary of Lesbian Visibility Day in Montreal, friends, allies and media are invited to gather at Ideal bar & content from 1 p.m. to attend the recording of three podcasts and an award ceremony, along with spokesperson Coco Belliveau and host Eugénie Lépine-Blondeau. The event will be followed by a festive happy hour. “Women of sexual diversity are an important part of the LGBTQIA2+ community, they are diverse and they are strong, we want to bring them together and celebrate them,” concludes Julie Antoine, Executive Director of the QLN. Finally, for those who have not had the chance to come, the three recordings will be posted on the website www.visibilitelesbienne.ca on April 26 to mark International Lesbian Visibility Day and to promote the voices of our communities elsewhere in the world.
