Raviver l'Amour Sorcier

Myriam Lenfesty, Gabrielle Morin, and Clara Vecchio are three lesbian artists who have each worked independently on projects reviving the memory of Quebec City's lesbian bars. When they decided to join forces on a theater project, they quickly began to wonder about the potential of this shared desire. Lesbian bars don't just appear out of thin air, born of one person's imagination: but what if they found a way to channel the energy of their shared fantasies? Perhaps all it would take is an old pub, the word “lesbian” displayed somewhere, and they would answer the call.

Their approach is not limited to the artistic sphere: they want it to be nourished by contact with lesbian and queer people from all walks of life. They organize several evenings in bars in Quebec City, which feed into their writing, their reflections, and their need to build community in the public space.
