LOWKIKI

We're a community organization in MTL with the mission of creating a space for queer people that is an alternative to nightlife and sensory-friendly! We create events that focus on dialogue, community, and relationship building between queer people. We make spaces political again while centering joy, slowness and time with each other. Our events are low sensory focused, we organize queer mingles, collage days, and workshops (from zine making and history of braiding to a panel around menstruations) but also days of care for the times that we live in. We also believe that collaborations between organizations are necessary to build real community and spaces of dialogue again so we're trying to do them as much as possible. We're organizing events at least once a month, twice if we can, the recurrence of events is necessary to maintain a sense of community and the real possibility of creating long-term relationships.
